The Hardimon "Hammer" with a rubber tip. The ultimate workout stick!
DCI Hall of Fame inductee Ralph Hardimon is a percussionist, teacher, composer and clinician. He is best known for his work in the areas of marching percussion, rudimental drumming, drum & bugle corps and marching band. Hardimon was the Director of Percussion for the Santa Clara Vanguard in 1981 and kept that position through 1990, during which time SCV won four High Percussion awards and three DCI World Championships. Since, Ralph has written and arranged music for many other drum corps, college percussion ensembles and marching bands, and in 2011, Ralph will return to the DCI activity as the percussion arranger for the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps.
Ralph's latest Vic Firth Signature products are unique in that they are closely related through their practice stick implications — with one designed as a wood tip model and the other with a rubber tip. "When thinking about chop building, I knew there was something unique we could bring forth," states Hardimon. "The idea of a stick that would work on a pad and drum was one angle, but adding the same model with a rubber tip really made for an exciting concept!"
Ralph Hardimon "Chop-Out" Practice Stick - The Hardimon "Hammer" with a rubber tip. The added weight of Sta-Pac turns this practice stick into the ultimate workout stick. "Vic Firth has it mastered when it comes to feel and touch — and the quality is simply the best around," adds Ralph. "With the products being at such a high and consistent level, I am so very happy to be a part of the family! The factory is great to work with — they make it happen, every time! The knowledge in crafting sticks and mallets is unbelievable at Team Vic!!"

Condition
Brand New
Brand New items are sold by an authorized dealer or original builder and include all original packaging. Products listed by authorized dealers that are unopened, new in box and are covered under the manufacturer’s original limited warranty.
B-Stock
Items that were opened and returned, have a cosmetic imperfection or were used as demo units in a shop. Many B-Stock items come with a limited manufacturer’s warranty.
Mint (Used)
Mint condition items are completely blemish-free and have not been modified in any way. If there are any blemishes and/or modifications, the item needs to be listed as a condition less than mint.
Excellent (Used)
Excellent items are almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and have been played or used with the utmost care. When an item has been used, but only has minor cosmetic defects, this can be considered Excellent. Minor surface level scratches, such as fingerprints or stick marks from regular use, would qualify.
Very Good (Used)
Very Good describes items with more cosmetic imperfections than Excellent, but are still in great condition overall. There may be some scratches, finish dings, slight keyholing or light pitting, but nothing that affects the playability or function of the gear.
Good (Used)
Good condition includes items that are in fine working order, but have significant cosmetic imperfections. A cymbal with substantial fleabites, or an old snare drum with some surface rust on the lugs would be classified as Good. Items with dents, or corrosion qualify as Good as long as they are still playable and fully functional.
Fair (Used)
Fair condition items have various imperfections that impact the function of the item. Fair items aren’t broken, but have some minor functional issues. Examples of items in Fair condition are cymbals with repaired cracks, or a playable drum kit with several extra holes.
Poor (Used)
Poor condition items have clear functional problems that will generally require repair. Examples of items in Poor condition include a snare drum with broken lugs, a cymbal with substantial un-repaired cracks, or a drum kit stripped of its finish and missing hoops or other hardware.
