A very cool and pretty rare Slingerland brass snare drum, which is the immediate predecessor to the Sound King. Developed in the late 1950s in Chicago, alongside the Super Ludwig, the Slingerland brass holds its own in comparison. 5x14" chrome-plated brass shell, eight lugs, 3-point strainer (lever arm is bent but works fine), and Slingerland's iconic "stick-saver" hoops. Original snare wires are also present. Condition is pretty good, with age-typical scuffs and chuffs, and some heavier chrome-wear on a couple lugs.
