A remarkable Craviotto drum set (No. 1087) made in Nashville, TN in 2023 with steam-bent single-ply shells, tube lugs, wood flanged hoops, and no bass drum mount. The shells are stacked cherry and mahogany, and feature Craviotto's hybrid bearing edge, which is rounded to the outside, with an angled interior cut. 7x11" and 8x13" rack toms, 13x15", 14x16, and 15x17" floor toms, and a 15x22" kick drum. This kit sounds airy and resonant and the tone is about as rich and punchy as it gets.
It's no secret that we have a special place in our hearts for Craviotto drums. Not only are they some of the most well-crafted, visually stunning, and sonically versatile drums ever made, but our close personal and business relationship with Johnny Craviotto goes back to the early 2000s, and his legacy lives on through the current quality and craftsmanship evident in these remarkable drums.
Private Reserve
Saul Rocha and his team of artisans are always aspiring to inspire. Craviotto’s esteemed Private Reserve collection represents the pinnacle of our craft. Whether an astonishing Ambrosia, a whimsical Walnut, or a beautiful Birdseye Maple, Private Reserve drums are truly special, one-of-a-kind instruments. Only Saul can deem each masterpiece "Private Reserve worthy". Saul worked hand-in-hand with Johnny over many years and understands what the Private Reserve line truly represents. Due to our strict specifications, only the rarest and unique boards make the cut. Craviotto is only able to produce extremely limited quantities each year adding to the Private Reserve’s mystique, collectability, and demand.
Wood Selections
Our brightest tone wood, Cherry has great projection and an articulate response. Cherry has a lovely grain that is quite attractive. Cherry darkens in appearance as it ages.
A staff favorite, Mahogany is light and airy sounding. Mahogany has a distinct warmth and a "whispy" mellow tone that transports you back 60 years. A must for the drummer seeking vintage tones in a new drum.
Bearing Edge
This innovative [hybrid bearing] edge combines contemporary and classic concepts and creates a sound, response, and feel that maximizes the warmth of our solid shells.

Condition
Brand New
Brand New items are sold by an authorized dealer or original builder and include all original packaging. Products listed by authorized dealers that are unopened, new in box and are covered under the manufacturer’s original limited warranty.
B-Stock
Items that were opened and returned, have a cosmetic imperfection or were used as demo units in a shop. Many B-Stock items come with a limited manufacturer’s warranty.
Mint (Used)
Mint condition items are completely blemish-free and have not been modified in any way. If there are any blemishes and/or modifications, the item needs to be listed as a condition less than mint.
Excellent (Used)
Excellent items are almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and have been played or used with the utmost care. When an item has been used, but only has minor cosmetic defects, this can be considered Excellent. Minor surface level scratches, such as fingerprints or stick marks from regular use, would qualify.
Very Good (Used)
Very Good describes items with more cosmetic imperfections than Excellent, but are still in great condition overall. There may be some scratches, finish dings, slight keyholing or light pitting, but nothing that affects the playability or function of the gear.
Good (Used)
Good condition includes items that are in fine working order, but have significant cosmetic imperfections. A cymbal with substantial fleabites, or an old snare drum with some surface rust on the lugs would be classified as Good. Items with dents, or corrosion qualify as Good as long as they are still playable and fully functional.
Fair (Used)
Fair condition items have various imperfections that impact the function of the item. Fair items aren’t broken, but have some minor functional issues. Examples of items in Fair condition are cymbals with repaired cracks, or a playable drum kit with several extra holes.
Poor (Used)
Poor condition items have clear functional problems that will generally require repair. Examples of items in Poor condition include a snare drum with broken lugs, a cymbal with substantial un-repaired cracks, or a drum kit stripped of its finish and missing hoops or other hardware.
