A Canopus Ash kit in natural grain oil finish. 8x12" mounted tom with suspension mount, 13x14" floor tom, 14x18" kick drum sans mount, and 5.5x14" snare drum. Pre-owned and kept in pristine condition. Shell construction is 7-ply poplar and ash, which is a strong but light wood, providing plenty of attack with a beautiful, translucent tone.

"White Ash was the material widely used to make Fender guitars until the middle of 1950’s. Strong attack and quick response are the primary characteristics of this material. Since ash wood is relatively rigid, and challenging to process, its use for musical instruments has gradually decreased over time.
On the other hand, it shows some favorable characteristics – displaying a well balanced nature, both in resiliency and hardness. Of all woods ash has the best strength to weight ratio – making it the wood of choice for baseball bats. Its wonderful bending properties make it popular for fine woodworking and furniture making. These qualities combine to make it an ideal material for strong, light, resonant drums.
We have combined the ash material with popular and, using Canopus’ original processing technique for the bearing edges, this has enabled us to create a drum sound with a “seasoned taste” to it.
Now, you can enjoy a vintage-like sound which is both dry and resilient. It displays a full low frequency response, short sustain and clear projection. Playing these drums will give you a comfortable feeling of familiarity – like the sound and feel of an instrument you have known for many years.

Brand New

B-Stock
Items that were opened and returned, have a cosmetic imperfection or were used as demo units in a shop. Many B-Stock items come with a limited manufacturer’s warranty.
Mint (Used)
Mint condition items are completely blemish-free and have not been modified in any way. If there are any blemishes and/or modifications, the item needs to be listed as a condition less than mint.
Excellent (Used)
Excellent items are almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and have been played or used with the utmost care. When an item has been used, but only has minor cosmetic defects, this can be considered Excellent. Minor surface level scratches, such as fingerprints or stick marks from regular use, would qualify.
Very Good (Used)
Very Good describes items with more cosmetic imperfections than Excellent, but are still in great condition overall. There may be some scratches, finish dings, slight keyholing or light pitting, but nothing that affects the playability or function of the gear.
Good (Used)
Good condition includes items that are in fine working order, but have significant cosmetic imperfections. A cymbal with substantial fleabites, or an old snare drum with some surface rust on the lugs would be classified as Good. Items with dents, or corrosion qualify as Good as long as they are still playable and fully functional.
Fair (Used)
Fair condition items have various imperfections that impact the function of the item. Fair items aren’t broken, but have some minor functional issues. Examples of items in Fair condition are cymbals with repaired cracks, or a playable drum kit with several extra holes.
Poor (Used)
Poor condition items have clear functional problems that will generally require repair. Examples of items in Poor condition include a snare drum with broken lugs, a cymbal with substantial un-repaired cracks, or a drum kit stripped of its finish and missing hoops or other hardware.
