Ron Tierno

Ron Tierno moved to New York in the 1970s to pursue a career in music. He has recorded numerous radio and TV jingles that led to playing on hit albums by Odyssey (“Native New Yorker”) and Frankie Valli (“Grease.... Is the Word”). For over 30 years Ron has been active on numerous Broadway shows, from’ Barnum’ to ‘Lion King,’ culminating in an 11-year run as the drummer for ‘Cats.’ In addition, he has done numerous dates with the Boston Pops, and many, many years of seasonal work at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Starting in 2009 Ron maintained a full-time teaching studio at Steve Maxwell Drums, and is proud to continue that affiliation with Good Hands Drum Shop!
