A pair of great workhorse hi-hats. Zildjian New Beats are almost certainly the most widely used and well-known hi-hat sound on the planet. Their versatility, controllability, clarity, and firm but kind and familiar voice have left an indelible mark on music of almost every modern western musical genre. This pair weighs 1018 and 1422 grams, and dates to the 1970s. In great condition, with moderate patina and areas of discoloration.

From Zildjian:

“Zildjian New Beat Hats are considered the most versatile HiHat cymbals in the world today. The original design was brought to us by the late, great drummer, Louie Bellson who sought a pair of HiHats with a solid beat and a perfect all-purpose combination of stick and "chick" sound. It is symmetrically machine hammered and lathed with a traditional wide groove. The result is an exuberant cymbal that bursts with a classic voice that is pure, bright, and expressive.”
